Today, someone who wishes to study fashion and design finds himself having to make a choice between courses offered by various Institutes and organizations. Often this choice is not easy, especially if one is not already a specialist in the field. Those who choose the A.I. in Bangkok have a guarantee in the professionality and in the high level of quality of the teaching from which they derive many advantages as future designers. We will list here some of the characteristics that differentiate the A.I. from other Institutes and that make the academic experience unique, valuable and special.

- The A.I. in Bangkok, with its study programs held at the campus in Soi Thong Lor is the only Institute in Thailand accredited by the Accademia Italiana in Italy.
- The A.I. in Bangkok is also the only Italian design school present in Thailand.
- Academic qualifications: the A.I. in Bangkok is the only Institute in Thailand that can award the academic qualifications of the A.I., as well as being the only Institute associated with the University of Wales, it is in fact the only Institute in Thailand where it is possible to earn the degree awarded by this prestigious university.
- Validity of the academic qualifications: the academic qualification awarded by the University of Wales is convalidated in more than 40 European countries that adhere to the Bologna Agreement (which includes the entire EU together with many surrounding countries). The academic qualification awarded is that of “Bachelor’s of Art in Design”.
- 24 years of experience. The A.I. has developed its teaching method in Italy, from 1984 up to today, through the teaching of thousands of Italian and international students.

- Small groups. The classes formed at the A.I. are always made into small groups (max. 15 – 22 students), and for the subjects that concern professional practice these groups are further divided (max. 12 – 15 students). This allows each student to be followed personally by the instructor.
- Exchange programs. In any academic semester the student may request the possibility to attend a part of the program in Italy. The semesters attended in Bangkok are automatically accredited.
- Scholarships. A system of awarding of scholarships is being elaborated to be awarded to the best students. A special discount of 20% on the tuition fees in Italy will also be given to all students who participate in the exchange programs.
- Working with important industries. Over the years former students of the A.I. have had the possibility to work for important names in design, such as: Gucci, Ferragamo, Vivienne Westwood, Christian LaCroix, Balenciaga, Brooks Brothers, La Perla, Sarli, Fifle, Roberto Cavalli, Donna Karan, Emilio Pucci, Blumarine, Guess, Ermanno Scervino, IKEA, Eschenbach, etc.
- The Professors. The team of instructors coming from Europe has been selected from among the professors of the A.I. They have all a great professional and academic preparation. During the course of each academic year, special workshops and conferences are also held hosting a series of “visiting professors” who will add their contribution on specific aspects in design.
- Fashion show and design exhibition. Each year the students of the A.I. in Bangkok have the possibility to participate in the year end events that are held in Italy and that include a fashion show and a design exhibition. Other events at the A.I. are organized in Thailand and in other parts of the world.
