Fashion Design students’ creations to be sold at La Rinascente stores in Florence and Milan
The Accademia Italiana has incorporated an ethical theme into its academic program, in a project involving African manufacturing companies.
The project was developed in a meeting between the President of Accademia Italiana, Vincenzo Giubba, and the President of la Rinascente’s Board of Directors, Sudhitham Chirathivat.
The student-designed collections, which will be sold at La Rinascente department stores in Florence and Milan, were selected by a commission headed by Franca Sozzani, first Goodwill Ambassador of F4D (Fashion 4 Development).
The students of the Fashion Design program who participated in the project are Claudia Brunori, Francesca Micciullo, Giulia Parodi, Daniele Santoni and Valentina Zinna.
The design component of the project was coordinated by the head of the school’s Fashion Department, Marco de’ Micheli.
The project aims to support ethical and sustainable production in developing countries using the creative technical approach of the Accademia Italiana’s students.
